Terrifier 3 will be gory and depraved, but shorter and less mystical than Part 2
Terrifier 3, according to writer/director Damien Leone, would be more macabre and violent than its predecessor despite being shorter and less magical.
I enjoyed Terrifier 1 a lot, but Terrifier 2 didn’t appeal to me because of its lengthy 138 minutes and its exploration of the paranormal. Terrifier 3 will fully explain those supernatural elements, according to writer/director Damien Leone (whose interview you can watch in the embed above). However, I’m also happy to hear that Leone (in an interview with Movieweb) stated that the upcoming sequel will be less mystical and shorter than part 2. while maintaining the usual level of gore and depravity for a Terrifier film. (Terrifier 3 will be gory and depraved)
Not too much, Leone said to Movieweb when asked if the reception of Terrifier 2 affected his approach to Terrifier 3. Going into Terrifier 3, my only real concern is trying to keep the picture under two hours and easing back on the fantastical/mystical elements that were so heavily featured in the last installment. Though I think Sienna’s fantasy element is fantastic and essential to her character and her transformation into Art’s enemy, many fans disregarded those two elements. Nevertheless, it is possible to preserve that feature thematically without drawing undue attention to it visually.
This gives me much more anticipation for Terrifier 3.
“The gore or the special makeup effects have become an integral part of this franchise and topping the big kill from the previous film has become a staple,” Leone continued. Part three should be the scariest, but I also want it to be the goriest and most filthy installment in the series thus far. Gore only goes so far, and I want to make a scary movie that gives you the chills exactly as much as possible. To make Art the Clown genuinely horrifying, I want to approach the movie as though no one has ever seen him before. (Terrifier 3 will be gory and depraved)
On October 25, 2024, Terrifier 3 will be released in theaters. In this installment of the franchise, Art the Clown will let loose mayhem on the gullible citizens of Miles County as they gently go off to sleep on Christmas Eve.
Terrifier 3 is coming soon; are you excited? What do you think of it being just as nasty and wicked as Terrifier 2, but shorter and less mystical? Please tell us by posting a comment below.
